Description:

200 years of history, now a part of your toast

This champagne cooler is made from natural Akita cedar wood, a precious and rare material preserved for approximately 200 years. The exquisitely fine straight grain of the wood is a testament to the years it spent maturing in the harsh climate of Akita. The craftsmanship behind it is exceptional, involving the difficult technique of bending a seven-inch wide plank into a perfect circle. The front is adorned with a cherry blossom design, believed to ward off bad luck.

The wood provides excellent thermal insulation, keeping the ice cold longer, and releases a subtle, sweet aroma when it comes into contact with moisture. This cooler is made of raw, unpainted wood, so the interior may get slightly scratched from use, but you can easily restore the wood to its original state by pouring hot water into it. Beyond chilling your favorite drinks, this cooler is also perfect for keeping vegetables cool during the summer.
