Tomoko Ito

Born in Odate, Akita Prefecture.

After graduating from the Specialization School, she begins to work in a company of Production of Odate Magewappa.

Certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a Traditional Craftsman of Odate Magewappa (woodworking department).

She began working for Ryobi-An Co., Ltd.

She is the first woman to be recognized as an Odate Magewappa artisan and is integral to preserving the craft.
